Week ending 04/june/07 goldenloch
Now we have established the problem, the next stage is getting rid of it, well experience has taught us that nature will do the most, however we are awaiting the arrival of 2 specialist aerators specially designed for dealing with this problem, they bring the water up from approx 2 feet down and splash it on the surface hopefully these will be in operation this week, what about the fishing well for those that have been, the catches have been superb, if they fish accordingly, floating line with a sinking leader and using diawl bachs or blood worms, Messrs Burns and Burns had a really good day on Saturday 3 each returning quite a few including his biggest ever, and Messrs Stewart and partner Glasgow 3 each with 5 or 6 returned, contrary to rumours that we have not been stocking, we have this year stocked heavier than ever before and are currently way overstocked, our problem has been what I described in the previous report, brown algae which is very common down south, it we believe is a carry over from the disaster of the previous year as it is triggered by an imbalance in fish stocks, so if any of you are in contact with those that are currently slaging us, please put them straight as we are doing everything in our power to rectify the situation, we have been told by persons that know. that when the algae goes the fishing will be even better than before, lets keep our fingers crossed.
