Week ending 21/may/07 goldenloch
This past week at the Goldenloch has been a shocker the weather has changed so much every day with the wind being the most annoying on Thursday two lads spent 10 mins trying to row to the far end of the loch on their arrival and on settling down to fish in the calm of the weeds, the wind completely turned 180 and they had to battle back up to this end, but honestly its no joke the temperature in a 24 hour period of any day can vary as much as 10 degrees, with the really cold nights and if it’s a sunny day the next day it gets really warm if its overcast its cold, the weekend saw a number of lads out and beaten by either the wind or the cold the only good spell was on Sunday evening with 4 lads turning up all catching fish using red buzzers or red diawl bachs, however as a consequence of the winds the water is again well and truly stirred up and an observation is that the fish are close to the sides with their noses down and tails up snorkelling in swirls hunting out something on the bottom, this week we are getting another load of big fish so be prepared with heavy lines, I promise you are going to enjoy fishing here this summer.
