Week ending 26/feb/07 goldenloch
Anglers are still having a tough time fishing due mostly to the really cold evenings and mornings, the best fishing of the day seems to be in the late afternoon around 4pm this is when the fish are most active and are starting to look for grub, George Melrose Cupar arriving at 1pm found the fishing extremely satisfying with 2 rainbows for 7lbs and a few brownies which he returned, Jim Wilson, Dalgety Bay on the other hand arrived at 4pm and was met with extremely cold wet windy weather, he could see plenty fish moving on the surface but was unable to catch any, he did however get loads of tugs and pulls showing that they were trying, It is a very strange spring this year for fishing, with very warm day times and very cold night times this coupled with the high winds and heavy rainfalls it has to be the reason that the fishing has been so poor, we know the number of fish in the loch which is double what we would normally have in at this time of year, so when things do come right it should be really good.
