Week ending 04/dec/06 goldenloch
This last week at the Goldenloch has seen probably the worst weather for years, with high wind and constant rain, but there is spells of pleasant weather in between the really bad days, Messer’s Duke and Richardson, Carnoustie found one of those days and were rewarded with a good days sport, taking home 5 for 10lbs using yellow flies, on the loch at the same time was Mr K Mackie, St Andrews who returned 2 and kept 3 for 6lbs, using a bloodworm, Hardy anglers turn out regardless of the weather and father and son W & W Croll, Kirkcaldy braved not only the wind but a bitter cold day and had an enjoyable day, returning a few and keeping 2, whereas Stewart Fenton who just wanted a quite days fishing was eventually beaten by the cold and retreated to the pub. Sunday saw a repeat of Saturday and Pete Greg, Dundee enjoying a breeze in his hair caught a few brownies which were returned, later in the day the wind abated and Mr H Wilson and Miss E Fletcher Stirling, had what was their best days fishing this year, with both catching 7 fish each, returning all, Henry was using buzzers and Liz a yellow consett budgie, all the fish were caught at the far end of the loch in the relative shelter of the reeds.
