Week ending 24/sept/06 goldenloch
At the Goldenloch we are currently undergoing a large restocking programme over the next two weeks replacing what we lost including the larger fish and are looking forward to some really good fishing this Autumn, the first fish have successfully settled into the loch and anglers this past weekend have enjoyed what has to have been a fishing bonanza, these new fish have formed a large shoal and seem to have settled at the pier end of the loch, Messrs Burns and Burns, Glenrothes, eventually found the right spot and fly and just enjoyed catching fish, Jim Wilson, Dalgety Bay, fishing in what had to be the wettest day this year had 5, which were all returned, as we still to date do not have clearance from the Department of the Environment regarding the removal of fish for consumption, this is a voluntary procedure put in place by us and them, as we wish that all our clients understand that as there are no guidelines in place for what happened here, we can only carry out our own risk assessments and get the fish tested by them, some, a few, survived the incident but unfortunately oxygen depravation causes blindness and it will not be long before these poor things will give up as well, by Wednesday this week we hope to be able to resume business as usual and trust that anglers will find the with the loch restocked that the fishing should be as good if not better than before.
