Week ending 10/07/06 goldenloch
Fishing conditions at the Goldenloch were near perfect this past weekend as dark skies and lower temperatures prevailed, the fish had other ideas and were not for being caught easily, with large numbers of fish feeding on surface insects, anglers struggled to match what they were taking, however for those that found the right pattern the fishing was excellent, Mr F Webster from Errol using a Claret Sedge Hog had 3 for 9lbs and retuned a few stating that the rise at the far end of the loch was the best he has seen for a long time, his fun however was in the fact that the fish he caught came up from the bottom and took his flies as they jumped out the water, Messrs Clark and Sutherland Kinross also had a particularly good day in that they were using buzzers and caught 8 fish each which were all safely returned both lads having there best fishing for a long time Mr J Arnot, Kirkcaldy on an early morning start using a bloodworm had 1 for 9lbs as did Mr T Foster Kildean who was using his home tied hares ears and commented that he was going to make some really tiny ones as that was what he reckoned the fish were after, Bank anglers have definitely had the best fishing this past week and nearly everyone has left with full bags or at least had 3 fish that they have put back. Our appeal for equipment is going very well with several anglers handing in their old or surplus tackle, but please if you have something that you feel would be useful to someone else give us a call (01337840412) or pop round.
