After the rain on Monday and Wednesday, fishing at the Goldenloch has improved dramatically, anglers are now mostly using floating lines and dry flies, the sport is tremendous, hatching flies are appearing on the loch all day, but as usual the biggest hatch is in the evening around 9pm, however some of the early morning anglers have be saying that they have never seen so many feeding fish, Mr Iain Ramage, Cupar had a particularly good day until he hooked his little finger, 11lbs all on buzzers, Craig Barrn, Exxon had 4 for 13lbs and Alan Myles, Cardenden, 3 for 12lbs using a yellow Dancer, Dave Clark, Glenfarg had a great night on Sunday with a 8.5lb fish in his bag and Donald Dun catching a 5.5lb fish in his bag of 3, Mr Dorward Carnoustie fishing hoppers had 3 for 10.5lbs With the water temperature now down a couple of degrees anglers are finding the fish a lot more active and giving a really good fight a few times this week anglers have been finding that what they thought was a large fish would turn out to be a 1.5lb brownie and give a really good account for itself Alan Montgomery Bankfoot caught 3 and commented that they were the hardest fighting fish he had played for a long time, Kevin McArther, Kirkcaldy and Jim Wilson, Dalgety Bay were the first all night anglers and seemingly had a ball especially around 3am.
