Week ending 12/06/06 goldenloch
Now that the days of bright sunshine at the Goldenloch have been broken by a day of heavy rain the fishing should become a lot easier, day anglers have had a particularly hard week with the sun belting down onto the water, early morning anglers and late evening fishing has been very good Mr Alec Wilson, Glenrothes had a bag of five for 12.5lbs using diawl bachs and A Morgan Glenrothes had 3 for 8lbs, 2 of which were blue trout using a wickhams fancy, fish are moving in all parts of the loch and since this past weekend have been rising and feeding from the surface, large quantities of mayfly and many other assorted flies/insects are now on the loch surface giving a much needed challenge for the anglers, Bank anglers have been having the best fishing during the recent hot spell as the feeding fish have been mostly at the side of the loch, having a great day was Mr Tom Harris, Levenmouth who using very small barbless dry flies caught a released 8, Tom was getting the fish to come out of the weeds and chase his flies whilst having a lot of fun with the fish creating bow waves he came unstuck at one point when after catching one fish another much larger one took his next fly and then both fish just took off with his complete cast
