Week ending 24/04/06 goldenloch
After a very cold North wind start to the week, every day saw the fishing improve as the weather warmed, by Friday the fishing was back to how it was the week before, the lads that tried fishing during Mondays gale however gave themselves a tough time as the fish were at the bottom of the loch, getting to them was equally difficult but the calibre of the anglers shone through and bags were filled, Tuesday saw an equally cold start to the day but as the wind dropped the fish rose and by mid afternoon fish were being caught on buzzers and nymphs, Mr Bill Bisset, Glenrothes having a quiet few hours had 3 for 8lbs and returned 2, Mr Iain Ramage, Cupar fresh from his winter hibernation caught 2 and returned 2 using buzzers. With every angler getting their bag limits, we have always allowed anglers then to fish for a further 6 using barbless hooks giving them the opportunity to really enjoy their visit with us, some anglers have however being taking liberties, by in finding a hot spot and catching to many, we ask that this stops and those concerned move around the loch allowing others the opportunity to catch fish.
