Week ending 05/01/06 goldenloch
With the weather still changing dramatically from day to day anglers are finding the conditions very extreme, however the fun is in being able to adapt, Monday saw a breezy day with most of the fish being caught from the bank and at the far end of the loch, one angler getting 3 for 7.5lbs and returning 4 was using cats whiskers and bloodworms, on the neighbouring jetty Mr Davis, Dundee had 2 using a black buzzers which he returned, and then spent the rest of his day just getting nibbles and knocks, just a tad frustrated he wished he had kept the first 2, On the boats anglers were equally annoyed with everybody getting loads of offers but only a few being landed. Tuesday however saw a warmer day with a flat calm and the exact opposite, the boats getting loads of catches and the bank boys struggling, till later in the afternoon when all of a sudden the fish just seemed to make for the side and for those left it was really good as the rising fish just went for the flies. Wednesday again saw another change in conditions as the loch was frozen from side to side and with a fresh stocking arriving anglers were more than happy to give up their time to make a big hole to put them into the loch.
