Week ending 20/06/05 goldenloch
At the Goldenloch fishing conditions are almost back to normal and the recent Algae attack is now over, the water is still slightly coloured but the fish are back feeding, what has however been discovered in the past week is the massive amount of larvae on the loch bottom, one type being the sedge that is hatching, it has a particular colour and size that seems to be unique to the Goldenloch, the fish are taking this larvae just as it is about to emerge. Catches have been good with Billy McLauglin Glenrothes having a great time, six caught and three returned also Mr Alex Wilson, Glenrothes who had Five for 9lbs on a day ticket, using a sedge fly Mr B Finnie, Balmullo, had two for 4lbs and returned two and Mr Jim Paton, Auchtermuchty using his usual Diawl Bach had three with two fish over the 3.5lbs also returning one to fight another day.
