Week ending 23/05/05 goldenloch
The water temperature at the Goldenloch has at last started to lift due to the warmer days and the effect has been that the fish are moving and feeding freely on the surface, an early morning rise at or around 7.30am and an evening rise at approx 8pm is giving anglers what they have been long awaiting, this weekend gave excellent fishing, Mr Iain Ramage, Cupar using buzzers had 2 for 4lbs and returned 2 but also had lost several due to just not being quick enough in striking, Mr Dave Wilson, Kettle also had 2 for 5.5lbs, returning a 2lb brown trout Dave fished in the middle of the day and just soaked up the sunshine and tranquillity as it was a perfect way to unwind from a very busy week. Mr Stewart Fenton Markinch fishing just after the heavy rain on Sunday morning had 3 for 8lbs, returning 1 using a Pheasant Tailed Nymph and Mr Simon Hodge who fished early doors during the heavy rain caught 6 keeping 1 for 2lbs returning the rest he was using a single nymph.
