Week ending 09/05/05 goldenloch
The Goldenloch like others is still subject to the vigour’s of the cold wind blowing from the North, Saturday saw great fishing with everybody getting full catches and enjoying the warm air however Sunday was an entirely different story with fish showing but very hard to catch, Pete Fleming and his lads had their end of year fishing trip and with one lad having fished and blanked every time he was determined to break his run of bad luck Saturday saw him catch not one but three for 7lbs 12 oz, and nearly the heaviest in the group, Moving into what is now their new season we are sure that these lads will have a great time. On Sunday in the Cold the fish were deeper and Stewart Fenton managed to get 3 using a black and Green Fritz however Jim Wilson and Kevin Westford both only managed one each, fishing till quite late in the bitter cold the two determined lads had loads of offers and fish on and lost, eventually deciding that the fish were just playing they gave up deciding that the cold wind had beaten them.
