Week ending 18/04/05 goldenloch
April at the Goldenloch has had some very wet cold days, however true to form the hardy anglers are still there, a special mention to Master S Dobbie, Star of Markinch, who using a green and black gold head mini cat not only managed his first ever trout on a fly of 2.5lbs, but went on to catch a further 3 rainbows and a brownie which was returned safely, accompanied by Mr Wood who had caught 9 all returned, they were very happy with their days fishing, Messer’s S Lawes and A Davis have got to be our most unique anglers travelling from the far south, arriving here and fishing for the day, both lads caught 9 each returning all and then return home in the evening claiming it is still great value compared to what fisheries charge south of London all because of cheap easy jet tickets. Other anglers that have done well this past few days are Ian Adam and Neil Kelly, Glenrothes using everything in their boxes had 9 each, all returned and Mr Jim Young, Glenrothes, having 9 all returned safely using buzzers Mr Grant McGregor Kirkcaldy arriving late in the afternoon and fishing with a Diawl Bach had 3 for 8lbs and returned 6.
