Week ending 28/02/05 goldenloch
Fishing at the Goldenloch was interrupted by what has to have been our biggest snowfall for years, however one hardy lad braved the day and landed himself 3 for 8.5lbs using an Orange Fritz returning 4 including a 2lb brown, the next day saw a very quick shift for the snow and as the water level tried to rise our new overflow system took the extra away keeping the water at its required level, with the weather and temperature changing so much in a day the fish are very unpredictable at the moment, however when the skies do warm the fish are responding by coming to the surface, equally when the cold wind blows the fish just melt into the loch floor, Pete Fleming on what he colourfully described as a very cold day managed only one using a Black/Green Fritz and the next day which was a full 10 degrees warmer fish were actually feeding on the surface and being caught on buzzers as Mr R Shepuzo using small buzzers caught 3 for 6lbs and Mr Bob Cox had 5 for 11lbs using Damsels and Diawl Bachs.
