Week ending 13/12/04 goldenloch, getting fish
December at the Goldenloch can be interesting with sometimes really warm days ending in cold afternoons and nights or the other way round, whichever way, the fish seem to be getting caught easiest during the warmer spells, Mr Nellie, Coaltown arriving late struggled to get his 3 for 7lbs using muddlers, after watching others coming of the loch that had caught loads of fish, the only difference was the temperature it had dropped some 5 degrees in an hour, Mr Dave Swinley, Lochgelly was needing a good day to make up for a previous cold and wet day and caught 4 for 10lbs also returning 4 however he commented it was still a cold day, Mr Mario Polse, Ladybank not a known winter angler had a really good day with 2 in the bag for 5lbs Mario was using a yellow dancer and commented that he had loads of offers and knocks, this time however he was not using a debarbed hook and got his Xmas dinner in the boat. Gift vouchers for Xmas presents and next year fishing can be got by emailing john@john-nicol.co.uk or phoning to arrange. John and Anne would very much like to wish all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and hope that next year the weather will be kinder than the last few as it’s not been the best for anglers.
Bookings are being taken for the season by phone on 01337840412 or email to info@goldenloch.co.uk
