Quality time and good fish to boot
Torrential rain at the Goldenloch has made the water nice and fresh and with anglers dressed in waterproofs as they were not going to be put of with the weather, Mr Hughes, Glenrothes who was just looking for some quality time had a great day taking home only 1 for 2.5lbs he had been using olive-yellow nymphs and commented that he cannot remember ever seeing so many active feeding fish, Mr S Wilson, Buckhaven fishing with the boys from Diago had 5 fish for 10.5lbs using a claret hopper and had also returned 2, his partner Mr A McFarlane, Windygates had 3 for 9.5lbs using a Montanna and muddler combination, Messer’s Fulton and Spence on their usual late night fishing trip had what they described as their best ever nights fishing using small buzzers they had 6 for 14lbs returning a few to fight another day. From the bank anglers have been definitely getting the best catches and Mr Priest, Perth using a hare’s ear had 3 for 7lbs and Mr C Wilson fishing only at the small bay at the far end of the bank had probably his best night ever due to the fact that as the loch was busy with boats all the fish seemed to be getting driven his way clear water meant that he could see everything and where to cast became a slight embarrassment
