New for the goldenloch read on
Anglers at the Goldenloch this past week have had to cope with every weather condition that could possible happen with some happening all in one day, however the fishing has been excellent, D Spence Falkland and son G Spence had a fantastic evening with Dave getting 3 for 7lbs and Graham 3 for 8.25 lbs their buddies Jim Fulton had 3 for 6.5lbs and G Wight fishing with the 3 experts did well to catch 3 for 8.25 lbs giving him the heaviest bag all these lads were using buzzers and all were fishing the far end of the loch. Next day Donald McGilchrist had 3 for 7lbs using a gold head and his pal Mr I Murray had 1 at 3lbs using a Dunkeld, Many of the anglers have been having a lot of fun using a muddler followed by a daddy or a Diawl Bach or a spider casting right on to the edge of the weed bank, this is encouraging the fish to follow the wake and on taking the following fly a good catch is achieved, this technique has given a lot of fun to most but if the fish is of a bigger size keeping it out of the weed bank can be tricky, Visiting for the first time A Edwards Perth had 3 from the bank for 6.75lbs and his partner Mr S Robertson had 1 for 2.25lbs both lads were using damsels and muddlers, also from the bank was Mr Spence Collessie who returned 5 using only daddy long legs great sport fishing was his comments and great fighting fish, New for the Goldenloch is an employee, Mark, a keen angler he will be here to help especially during the week with youngsters, beginners and OAPs also in the general day to day running of the loch and business.
