Really good in the mornings and evenings
Bank Holiday weekend at the Goldenloch was cold, morning anglers definitely had the best weather, with fish being caught from the minute they got on the loch, Mr Jim Young, Glenrothes, had 9 all on a pheasant tailed nymph and Mr Jim Horsburgh, Kirkcaldy had 6 using buzzers, and Mr Derek Bell, Newburgh only wishing a few hours caught 6 using an orange hopper and a PTN, with these anglers off the water by 10am the next fishers were met with a very strong sun and a slightly stronger wind, has the day progressed the temperature started to drop as the wind increased and the fish being caught were well down, however Mr M Hill, Strathmiglo using a gold headed Hares Ear managed 3 for 6lbs with a fabulous blue trout in his catch, In the evening from 5pm onwards things definitely improved and Mr R Mathison, Tayport had 2 for 4.5lbs and Mr N Thomson, Turiff, 2 for 4.75lbs both anglers using yellow dancers, On the loch was Willie Pryde, Gateside and using nymphs managing 2 for 5.5lbs
