At last normal fishing resumes
Buzzers are the favourite fly to use at the Goldenloch with nearly everyone getting full catches using red and black buzzers, some anglers however have preferred to use other techniques and Mr Derek Bell, Newburgh using a Hares ear selection managed 3 for 10lbs early on Saturday morning before the wind made conditions impossible, however things got a lot better by late afternoon and the anglers were out in force to be met with fish crashing through the few remaining waves and Mr S Cassells, Glenrothes, had 9 which were returned safely on a clan chief, Bank anglers have been getting great fun with some getting a catch almost at there feet, Mr Frank Prentice, Aberdeen whilst teaching his son how to cast caught and returned 3 from the bank and then caught another 6 from the middle jetty his theory was that you shouldn’t have to cast more than a few meters if you have the right fly in his case this was a yellow dancer. Other anglers with good catches were Mr D Page, Lochgelly 3 for 8lbs using a Kate McLaren and Damsels, Mr Laing, Perth 3 for 7lbs using red buzzers and Master Guthrie Fenton, Newburgh age 8 caught and landed a smashing 2lb rainbow all on his own using a small blood worm.
