Everybody very happy
Week ending 08/03/04
Goldenloch
With warm weather on Saturday anglers at the Goldenloch were very pleased with their catches and some lads like John Hatton, from Kirkcaldy just quietly enjoyed the day, he eventually relinquished his spot after catching 9 all on olive damsels using a floating line, taking his place was a complete beginner Mr A Arthur, Glenrothes who using the same fly managed 3 for 8lbs, Other anglers were getting good catches but it mostly round the edges and at the far end of the Loch Mr S Wilson, Buckhaven was using a pheasant tailed nymph to success and caught 3 for 6lbs as was Mr S Hayes, Glenrothes who using a damsel had 3 for 7.5lbs and returned 6 absolute beauties was his comment, from the bank the same results were being had with anglers getting fish rising from time to time and taking the flies as the were retrieved slowly, Sunday saw an entirely different situation with the air decidedly colder anglers were struggling on floating line so the lures came out, but as the day warmed the gents that changed to floating lines were rewarded with some excellent catches, Mr Shaw from Markinch with his pals Mr McKay and Mr Sutherland a first time fisher all left with full catches as did Mr Kopczyk, Kilmany who using a black nymph had 3 for 7lbs
