Icy days are here again
With ice again covering the Goldenloch this weekend, many were disappointed by not phoning 01337840412, to check the conditions, would anglers please take note that on our website www.goldenloch.co.uk there is very accurate local weather forecasting information, this information service is proving to be very accurate for our area and also provides you with sunrise and sunset times as well as what the wind and conditions feel like, Some anglers did however manage a few days fishing last week one gentleman who had a fantastic time was Jim Wilson from Dalgety Bay who unusually using a boat hooked a magnificent Brown Trout this stag was fully formed and as Jim described, huge, on returning it back to its environment unharmed, Jim was amazed that he had never seen this fish before, still he managed, 3 for 8lbs and returned a further 3, 2 of which were blues all using nymphs and consett budgies, another angler who had a good day was Mr Imrie, Perth he had been looking for a fishing loch that had easy to access bank fishing that suited his aches, on arrival he started fishing with a floating line and a single dry fly, with his first cast managed to land a 3lb rainbow and on his second cast got a 2lb blue trout, after taking a rest he then proceeded to catch another rainbow and he now holds the record for fishing for 3 fish in the shortest space of time, absolutely delighted was his comments and exhausted will be back soon.
