Floating lines on the goldenloch
With the weather now seeming to be settled anglers at the Goldenloch are using floating lines and more traditional flies however some intrepid lads, have had time during the winter tying their own latest creations, and have been waiting for the right opportunity to try them out, at the weekend we have had some very interesting flies to look at, and surprise they all seemed to work and catch the fish that their designers intended them to, Mr J Young, Kirkcaldy and Mr G Connelly, Kirkcaldy both had interesting and great fun keeping 3 for 7lbs and returning 11 all extremely fit and fighting fish for another day, Mr R Hemming visiting from down south had an excellent days sport catching fish of the surface with damsels and diawl bachs, being more used to English reservoirs he enjoyed the natural environment and tranquillity of the Goldenloch , Messer’s Garrigan and Kopicki both from Glenrothes had 3 each using yellow dancers and vivas, with both lads fishing from the bank were joined by Mr Jim Wilson, Dalgety Bay who went on to catch 4 using surprise a consett budgie other notable catches were Mr F McDonald, Dundee returning 8 and Mr S Milne, Glenrothes 3 for 7lbs returning 5 using black and green Montana’s.
