Goldenloch oct-19th –week 39-2015
Last weeks report was written based on the fishing of the previous few days of last Monday and that indicated the fishing was on a rise and improving due mostly then to several really warm days, without any wind, well we still haven’t had any significant wind to speak about, but the biggest and most major influence on the fishing has been the dramatic drop in temperature, even as I write this, its 2 degrees and the humidity is 61%, which makes the cold air feel even colder, the fishing well its not that easy just now, even although the fish are showing in all areas they are seemingly not that interested in anything that the anglers are throwing at them, its not that people aren’t catching because they are, its just they are only getting ones and twos, what makes up for it is the quality of the fish being caught is second to none and the fights are by all accounts spectacular, most people seem to be in this category but there are a few that do well and can still catch a few fish Rab Grierson and John Hennan on a regular visit caught several fish, and true to form shared there wisdom with others, however with them it must be the wrist action that’s there secret, Also proving that there is still lads that can Brian Dewar and John ??? Had 20 for the boat Brian always enjoys his fishing, very much as does Alan Hyndman, Muirhead who managed 11 using buzzers, John Reid, Kinglassie a regular from long ago, raked out his fishing gear, and just to prove he hasn’t lost any skills had 15 all returned, his comments were that he couldn’t remember that the fish used to be so big, anyways he really enjoyed his day, and that’s what its all about going for a bit of relaxation and just enjoying yourself, others this week but with more modest catches were Jim Drummond Tayport 1 at 3lbs caught on a flee, Angus Roberts 1 at 2lbs, and D Mitchell Scone returned a couple of brownies, in all its been a really good week just a bit colder.
