Week ending 14/02/05 goldenloch
Still reasonably mild weather at the Goldenloch and the fish are responding by feeding and moving on the surface anglers are delighted with the sight of the fish as they look for anything that resembles food most definitely we seem to have three large shoals of fish, the brown trout which spend most of their time in and around the boat jetty and two groups of rainbows which move in all parts of the loch, Master Gavin Wood, Star of Markinch fishing with his father caught and landed a 2.4 lb rainbow in their bag and Mater Tom Jenks, Dunning with his uncle had 2 for 4.5lbs using a mini cats whisker, for Tom this was his first ever days fishing and left with a huge smile on his face as his uncle had only managed I but lost 3, Mr J Tolhie, Dundee had 3 for 6lbs using buzzers. Mr Jim Paton Auchtermuchty on his first outing of the season bringing his friend Brian Ross managed 3 using yellow dancers both lads just having a very pleasant days fishing, unbelievable for February was their comment.
