Goldenloch october 07 week 38
Were getting some rain at the Goldenloch but it isn’t coming very hard, Thursday past was forecast to be horrendous, it turned out glorious and with two anglers turning up in the afternoon, both having come from another venue where they weren’t aloud out in a boat because of the wind, however by the time they got here it was positively perfect, going out in a boat each they caught and returned 11, the feeding this year in the this year can only best be described as abundant, and with winter approaching fast, its good to see that the fish are still actively still feeding on the surface, or just under it, early morning and mid afternoon towards 4pm is the best time to see the fish feeding, however there are fish in all places most of the time, Saturday saw a really bright sun in the afternoon which sort of put the fish down for a while, but they were back up feeding by 6 and a strong evening rise occurred towards 7 with two anglers still present the rewards were pretty good John Grey getting 7 and Don Stewart likewise, Allan Gibson, Bridge of Earn with his new rod was out early on Sunday, catching 5, all from the bank, Allan was using buzzers, he was only fishing for an hour but he commented that he had one at about 4 > 5 lbs which gave a good account for itself, however again later it was a bright morning which spoilt it for others, its been an amazing year past with probably the best fishing ever, OK we have had a fair bit of weed but for those that adapted and used it to there advantage the fishing has been really good, with most anglers having there best season ever, however there has been a good few disappointments, lads that well just cant hack not being able to strip lures and use there attractors but with the weeds more or less passed now and rain forecast things should return to normal if that’s what normal is.
