Goldenloch september 23 week 36
Its been a week of hard work we’ve pulled out loads of weeds and built a pile of compost which hopefully will come in handy next year for the garden, the fishing for the few that’s been coming has been very good with everyone that can fish getting really good catches, a lot of larger fish have been getting caught recently, with one or two in the 9 to 10 lb bracket we didn’t even know we had fish like that but seemingly they are like salmon, this information was from a couple of gents that fish here regularly and are reliable, Friday saw a change in the weather and up till then we had loads of rising fish and fish feeding on the surface but the cold rain and temperature has now stopped this and its back to using wet flies and lures using a mini yellow dancer of his own tying, Arron Fletcher, Kirkcaldy caught 9 all put back, James Holden, Perth was here for his first ever visit with his elderly dad, and had 7 all from the bank they were using buzzers and a strange sight / strike indicator which to be fair was very easy to see, he had bought it in the USA for a few cents and he wishes he had bought loads of them as he reckons it would catch on here, its good sport just now and with the water quite a bit cooler the fish are enjoying the remnants of the summer feeding, it definitely looks like they are feeding for winter, we stocked last week and have a big head of fish in the loch a lot due to the fact that anglers this year seem to be returning more and more fish back to the water, which is good for everyone.
