Week ending 06/12/04 goldenloch, bigger catches again
Anglers have at the Goldenloch this past week, due to the much colder weather, changed their tactics from fishing on the surface or just under it, to using lures and fishing on or near the bottom of the loch, some lads have been getting really good results and some annoyingly catching only brown trout, Mr Bobby Cox, Dundee had 3 rainbows for 8lbs and one brown returned and Mr J Kelly, Cardenden had 3 rainbows for 10lbs using a yellow dancer he also returned a rather nice super fit brownie, Mr Brian Goodal, Kirkcaldy caught 7 brown trout which were all safely returned, its not that he was annoyed, its just that all summer he wanted to catch a nice one and when they are out of season to catch 7 one after another was to say the least a bit frustrating, using a hares ear Mr K Thom St Andrews had 3 for 7lbs and again returned a brownie, Having a really good day was Mr D Crabtree Glenfarg using a again a yellow dancer caught 4 for 10lbs excellent days fishing was his comments. Getting on the loch very early in the morning is now not a problem with the new road and entrance to the loch, Mr Ian Wallace, Glenrothes who seems to be awake when all others sleep had a great day with his buddy and between them caught and returned 11 fish leaving here to go and play a round of golf, fantastic fishing was his comments.
