Goldenloch april 16 / 2012 week 16
Fly fishing at the Goldenloch has moved up a gear this last week however it has been a pretty varied week weather wise, everyone is finding it a lot easier to catch fish and with the evening light till about 8.30 a few lads are arriving in the late afternoon and fishing for a few hours with some success, Wednesday saw a huge thunderstorm which produced some massive cracks of lightning a lot of thunder but not a lot of rain after it all fizzled out, a lone angler suddenly had the time of his life with fish rising all around and caught 3 but better still he was one of our new beginners, Bob Harvey, Leuchars had 13, 9 returned, Sandy Drummond Kettle bridge had 10 all returned using a Diawl Bach, Young Master Kyle Cuthil, Falkland, fishing with his dad, on his own caught a cracking 1 klio fish, however not every day was good as we had two bitter cold days this weekend past but fish were still getting caught Colin Jeffrey and G Dick both Auchtermuchty catching 6 between them, R Grant, R Dobbie and pal J Coghlan, Auchterarder, between them all had 19 fish with 7 kept and the rest returned, the lads saying that it was bitter cold but as the day progressed the fish became a lot more active so much so at around 5pm there were fish everywhere.
