Goldenloch may-31-10
Last day in May at the Goldenloch and its probably been the coldest May month for years however its been a very good month as far as the fishing has gone with 800 fish introduced to the loch and 650 removed, this excludes Mr Ospreys catches which for the moment have drastically reduced, he seems to be fishing somewhere else, actually I spotted him fishing on the river Tay, just of Mugdrum Island, which must be about 100m from his house, with fish showing in the loch all day, the catches have been good especially if its warm but the cold wind that has been popping up now and again can spoil things, the fishing is best in the morning from 7 till 11am and gets good again from 6pm onwards, the bit in the middle very much depends on the weather if its warm its good if its windy it can be a bit slow, but generally its not to difficult to find something that works well, the bank fishing has probably improved the best especially mid way, however quite a few will dispute that and argue that the top bay is showing the most fish especially bigger ones, getting good catches this week were, J Joiner, Errol 3 for 8lbs using black buzzers, Malc Cuthill Falkland 3 for 8lbs using a Montana, Chris Webster, Anstruther, 2 for 7lbs using buzzers, while Buckhaven High School were here having fishing lessons and an activities day the 3 lads from Buckhaven, S Hannah, J Hennen, and R Gearson, were having their usual relaxing fun day out all catching fish using buzzers leaving with 2 fish each.
