Goldenloch apr-05-10
At the Goldenloch this week like everywhere else Easter Weekend arrived two weeks early and instead of the usual nice warming weather, we had what would be best described as sharp clear days, it was however not as bad as the days that had proceeded it, during the week we missed the snow and blizzards but we did however get the rain, so how’s it been fishing, its much better than it was a week ago, in fact it pretty safe to say that everyone who has visited has caught more that they bargained for and that a few people have had their best ever days, Deryk Angus, Glenfarg, had 1 brown 2.5lbs and 2 bows for 4lbs and returned 3 using a gold head nymph, Alex Burns Kirkcaldy had his best ever day returning quite a few using various nymphs and B Pitcairn Halbeath on his first visit this year had 10 all returned using crunchers and his partner D Reddie returned 8, Colin Jeffrey Auchtermuchty returned 8 using buzzers and nymphs, having a great start to his fishing season is regular Martin Nicol Perth, with his new Orvis fishing rod has managed to catch an average of approx 6 on every trip, returning to fishing after a years break, Jim Ward, Kirkcaldy, using buzzers fished of the bank returning 6 bows one brown and keeping a superb fighting rainbow of 3.5lbs.
