For those anglers that have visited in the last few days they have been very pleased and happy with the fishing as most if not all have had maximum catches, the weeds have collapsed at the bank side of the loch and from the first till nearly the third jetty it is clear deep water and there is still a large area for the boats to fish in up the centre, but the most important thing is that anglers are catching fish, and having a really good time, we are cutting weeds and pulling them out of the loch, it is really hard work especially on some of those boiling hot days, Willie Pryde arrived early am on Sunday morning with two of his non fishing mates, after some basic teaching they went on to catch plenty of fish and really enjoyed themselves, Sunday saw the fishing really good in the morning and late evening but quite hard during the bright day which is the normal at any fishery at this time of year, actually in my diaries and in the fishing report, blog, it is normally tough fishing at this time of year, so the way the loch is at the moment is quite good, Last Monday saw Jim Paton, Auchtermuchty, and D Currie, Kirkcaldy have a really nice day with 2 each and 4 returned using dry flies and Klinkhammers, Tim Dover, Bridge of Earn with his new rod has now caught 3 fish twice and is extremely happy with his purchase, the senior citizens from Blairgowrie Brian, Michael and Alan Scot all had an extremely good days fishing catching 3 each averaging about 3lbs per fish, actually this year it seems that the fish are in a very ultra healthy condition and are putting on weight extremely quickly due to the massive food reserve in the loch and the crystal clear water, one day last week on receiving our weekly stocking the newly released fish just went straight into a feeding frenzy when they were put into the loch, this was unusual but it showed that whatever it is that we have in the water it is obviously what they are looking for
