Goldenloch 30/03/2009
Back to the cold these last few days at the Goldenloch, well it was forecasted, however the weather forecasters do tend to over state what is going to happen for example, they said that on Friday there was going to be a howling gale, as it happened it was a tad blowy but no worse than any other day, and by 3pm it had gone completely and become flat calm, Saturday was to be a repeat of Friday what actually happened was a windy but sunny day with a quite pleasant afternoon, so how about the fishing well it slowly getting better with anglers getting more offers, it is definitely the cold that’s been keeping the fish low down and with the cormorant threat seemingly over the fish are beginning to show in more areas of the loch and the boat anglers have been getting fish easier, Rudi Kopczyk, Kilmany, had 3 using a fly called a cormorant for 8lbs, and L Dick, Auchtermuchty, had 4 using a green Diawl Bach, Easter is just around the corner and now that the clocks have changed, the warmer days will soon be here lets hope that the fishing picks up soon,
