Goldenloch 15/09/2008
The past week at the Goldenloch has seen some pretty good catches and some very happy anglers with nearly everyone getting their dream time fishing, the fish are feeding in all areas and are actively taking dry flies from the surface as well as those using lures, mostly by beginners to great success Sam Neville age 5 from Springfield using a yellow dancer caught a 2.4lb rainbow while his dad Colin had a 6.5lbs on the same fly, earlier in the week Bob Shauw age 13 Cowdenbeath had 2 for 5lbs using a sparkler and Tommy Brown, Kirkcaldy fishing with his grandad had 2 for 7lbs using a PTN, its not just the young anglers having all the fun R Irvine, Canada, fishing with his buddy D Heuclia, Dunfermline each had a rainbow of 4lbs in their bags along with 2 other of approx 3lbs each as well as returning quite a few, best days fishing ever was the comments, now that the fishing has come good anglers are reminded that whilst there are people fishing from the bank, boats are to stay out the channel and give them at least 40 m distance, also that if you find yourself in a good spot and have returned a few please move on so that someone else who may be struggling can catch a fish or two.
