Life or being alive, has to be a great bonus, especially at my age, however so is good health, which we all take for granted, that is until there is a hic up, having a fishery for me is a great tonic, no matter the adversaries it throws out, but that tonic is also shared amongst so many, just being able to go fly fishing is amongst many things, pleasurable, relaxing, rewarding, but one of its most important attributes is it makes the angler whilst trying to match his skills against the fish, he or she, is also at one with the wildlife, nature, the environment, the weather, the toils and tribulations in your head, (mindfulness) yep going fishing sure can cure many problems, now catching the fish is the next and best bit, however warm sunny weather sure can help, but the last 7 weeks has got to have been the wettest ever in North Fife, I personally have emptied out boats for the last 30+ years, these last few weeks have by far seen the most water ever, its not like other years in a massive downfall, this time its been a constant heavy rain spread over a longish period, the outflow is running at full pelt everything is wet, the grass banking is so soft walking on it sometimes is hazardous especially just after rain, but guys come here to relax and have fun catching fish, twas a good thing the purchase of slightly smaller fish, they haven’t half been fun to catch, everyone fishing lately has said how much fun they have had, Roy Kelly today 5 on a Peter Ross and a Montana, Rod Yesterday 12 on Buzzers, Michael Fairweather 5 Returned, Friday saw Mike Bradshaw on 15, Sandy Band on 5, matching Jock Souter 5 returned, Perth Wellbeing group on Thursday did really well, George was top rod on 6, Gerry caught a Perch first for a long time, Llyod on 5, Alec Cuthbert had 9 using Kate McLaren+ Cormorants and his buddy first time fishing Callan Cower on 4 all returned.
Now with Christmas just around the corner, this year as usual we will be doing our Christmas Vouchers, in the past we have done specials, this year isn’t any different, so buy five ( £100 ) get six is the deal, we would like to give some a Santa present, so perhaps randomly a small pressy will be included
Fly Fishing is a Pastime, it is not only relaxing, but also rewarding, come to the “Goldenloch” enjoy your Hobby to the max, no stress, only tranquil surroundings abundant wildlife, great fish, Brown, Blues and Rainbows, you will not be disappointed.
