Now into February nice and slow, no storms rain or snow, just friking cold, better angler numbers though, hopefully all catching fish, they way its happening at the moment is that there is very little being caught before 11am, it seems to take a few hours after daylight to warm up, the winds have been relative light just now so boats are easy to get around into all areas, Colin Hay had a great afternoon on Saturday using an intermediate line, 9 returned using a black and green Montana and a Silver cormorant plus an Ally McCoist and a lime green Fritz, Rod Thaw back on form returning 20, using Cormorants and damsels, Alec Cuthbert 16 returned using Cats Whiskers, Kevin Dickson 8 on a white Diawl Bach his boat partner Karl Cooke had 1, and Darin Taylor 8 as well, but using a yellow dancer and a cats whisker, John and Bob Cowie between them returned 3 using an Olive Damsel, Stuart Cameron 3 returned using Green and White, everyone enjoying a good afternoons fishing with no blanks, Friday saw Sandy Band from the bank catch 7 also Alec Cuthbert 15 and his buddy Andrew Morgan get 7, now the thing is these last few days has seen the air pressure rising and the outside air temp average rise from 3 to 8 degrees is this going to last well I hope so, the lowest water temperature this year was 2 degrees which is now up to 4.5 not bad for the first week in February, the main decider is the next two weeks which hopefully will be much the same as we have just had, so fingers crossed for some warmer weather, I have been trying to work on the boats but it is way too cold I don’t think paint would dry anyways, Pictures today Jock and Sandy having a conversation about the lack of biting fish Lol Video shows a lot happening tractor ploughing man on bike which this roads sees loads every day, Swans having a proper battle old Cob versus young Cob
