Where do I start with this weeks report the weather has been shocking for most of the week however the actual weather at the weekend was OK, it was the weather report on the telly that was crap, for those that phoned they were pleasantly surprised to be told that the weather was good, anyway the fishing this past week has been pretty poor mostly due to the constant wind that has blown and the cold temperatures however there has been a fair bit of fish activity nearer the sides which can be proven by the amount of fish that the bank anglers have caught this week Monday saw Martin Nicol, Perth, catch 7, 2 for 5lbs, returning 5, S Ferguson, Cowdenbeath, 5 returning 3, and best of all was Elizabeth Henderson, Cowdenbeath who using a wee silver Humongus caught a stonkingly fit fish of 6lbs which was 24 inches in length she was absolutely chuffed to bits with her catch which took a good 5 mins to land this was 1 of 2 the other being a good 2.5lbs, it has been noted this week by several anglers that their seems to be a lot more bigger fish moving about in the later parts of the day around 4pm also that the wind usually seems to die away by 2 or 3 in the afternoon, the weekend past saw some really food results and some really bad, the good anglers caught loads, B Stewart Dundee, 6 returned, Ray Eastwood, 6 Returned, Billy Harris, Cupar 3 for 8lbs, Bobby Cox Dundee, 4 for 10.5lbs, and the not so good anglers well they all blanked, interesting most of the fish caught were of the surface on floating lines it was the sinking and intermediate that didn’t do so well.
