“The Goldenloch” 30/01/2022, Fishery Blog, Week 05.
Not much happening these days the weather for this time of year is a tad warmer than we are used to, that could change quickly, anglers are still having good sport as one guy said, he has never been disappointed fishing here at the Goldenloch, he added that he only ever fishes traditional flies, saying if he doesn’t catch anything then it wasn’t meant to be, however he has never left here without a bag limit, also his favourite flies being Diawl Bachs and silver Invicta’s, M Smith and A Greene both 4 fish using bloodworms buzzers and damsels, On the bank George Duff and Cammy had 7 each using cormorants, Bob Mitchel getting 10 C&R on Black / Green, A Morgan and A Cuthbert 8 and 3 all returned, with A harry getting 2 and Losing 3, Leslie Mitchell on a cold day had 3 and B Gilloway 9, with J Barlow on 2, John Bowman after a winter break using a Montana 8 ,Sandy Band 2, john Bashford 4, pretty much lads picking up fish in all areas, the recent high wind didn’t do much harm as it blew mostly from the N East and that meant down the loch from the boats, which even in the worst of the weather were flat calm, my daughters wee dog and basically my wee pal when I cut the grass, or on the digger, Beanie, has had a Puppy, she has turned out to be a great wee mum and the pup is gorgeous, no name yet, but I will have t train it to go on the mower and digger as well, Sunday night eventually saw the storm Corrie hit at about 11pm The “Goldenloch Fishery” offers Boat or Bank fishing or both, superb location in North East Fife, Quiet, Relaxing, no background noise, beginners welcome, abundant wildlife.
