Week ending 22/oct/07 goldenloch
Another great weeks fishing at the Goldenloch, Sunday saw a rather larger amount of anglers than we expected, however after the initial flurry of who got a boat all settled down and found a place to fish and it wasn’t long before all the anglers started to catch Bill Harris Cupar was first off the water after catching 8 fish keeping 3 for 6.5lbs, Les Wilson Glenrothes was next he was fishing from the bank at the far end and did exceptionally well, Les is one of our cannier anglers and just takes his time, and it always pays dividends for him he was accompanied by the Burns boys who were out in a boat having a bit of a harder time and as the day progressed the fish seemed to move from the centre of the loch to the sides, all the bank boys were still catching quite regularly and the boat boys were going through a quite spell however this changed later on as a rise of fish started about 3pm and for those left fishing in boats it seemed like it was an anglers heaven, Stewart Milne using buzzers returned 7 keeping 3 for 6lbs Jamie Thoms had 7 which were all returned and Stewart Fenton Markinch, had 5, during the week the fishing has been every bit as good however the only upsets come when the weather turns bad last Monday saw a really windy day which made the fishing hard however Wednesday was excellent and a saw everyone with full bags Thursday was a cracker and saw Mrs Christine Cameron and son John catch 4 with john catching 2 on his own using a Grouse and Claret another youngster Billy Robertson had 3 for 6lbs, its really good to see everyone having a great time and we expect these conditions to stay for a few weeks yet at least the anglers are getting some decent fishing now which makes up for such a poor summer.
