Week ending 08/oct/07 goldenloch
Anglers visiting the Goldenloch come to relax and enjoy a few hours sport in tranquil surroundings to catch a few fish and for those visiting during the last few days everyone has achieved this, the weather conditions were near perfect and the water crystal clear, anglers and fish could see flies in the water at vast distances there was little or no wind only a gentle breeze coupled with a warm air temperature, fish were active in all areas and although large quantities of fish were showing at times, anglers still had to work quite hard to catch them, but when the right fly was found the rewards were good, G McKenzie and S Fenton Markinch, had an early start on Sunday and on their arrival fish were showing in all areas, and true to form on their departure they had enjoyed their day with full bags as did I Burns and J Burns who had returned quite a few as well, Ray from Bankfoot on a quick visit for a few hours caught 4 all returned as did Jim Wilson Dalgety Bay who arrived late in the day and had the loch to himself from 5 till 7, Jim was a amazed at the amount of fish rising to flies so late on in the year and fishing dry flies caught quite a few which were all returned.
