Week ending 17/Sept/07
Goldenloch
With the winter weather arriving early at the Goldenloch the bright hot sunny days that we have had in the last month or so have been broken now by the really cold nights which has resulted in the water temperature dropping by a significant amount, so much so that the fish are now quite actively moving on the surface whereas before they were only breaking the surface occasionally, all anglers have had a pretty good weekends fishing, getting a good days fishing was first time visitors Kevin and George Mackie from St Andrews, Kevin catching fish the moment he started and George who was fishing on the surface taking just a little bit longer to get going, the lads ended up with 8 fish and both commented that that was their best day for years, Sandy Page had 3 for 7.4lbs Les Wilson fishing from the bank had a great evenings fishing on Saturday night with 6 caught and all from the far end jetty Les fishing commented that it was just typical that he would have a great nights fishing when his usual fishing buddies were not there as they were on holiday, during the week apart from Monday when the wind was blowing gale force everyone seems to have had there best fishing for ages and it is a pleasure for us to see so many happy faces coming of the water its just a pity that sometimes it gets so very cold.
