“Goldenloch”
March- 24th- 2019, Week 11
So by a bit of wizardry this week’s report is done by dictation, ok the weather has been very changeable, for example, today Sunday has been very windy, hot and cold the fishing has been good, everybody catching fish😃 some exceptionally good catches but generally 4 or 5 being the norm, black buzzers, the weather is really annoying it is never staying the same and because it doesn’t stay the same the fish are hard to catch they do not like change they like a stable environment they like the water to warm up and for the sun to shine on the bottom of the Loch there is nothing hatching yet as the water temperatures still remains around 6 degrees the water temperature needs to rise to about 10 degrees and it needs to be for 2 or 3 days before insects will hatch and start to move although there are corixa Beatles shrimp and small fish which is plenty for the fish to feed on this is March the 24th it’s always usually the first week in April that small insects start to appear and by the Easter holidays proper fishing gets underway the small brown trout that we put in last week seem to have settled they can be seen popping about I think only 4 have been caught and they have been Returned as most people will know my injury is a lot more serious than first thought it seems that the socket that my shoulder fits into has been pretty much smashed, tomorrow I have got helpers coming to clean boats and cut grass this is going to be pretty much a life-changing Circumstance for me it happened very easily and can let people see that you have to be careful and try to predict what is going to happen if you don’t pay attention the good thing is I have loads of fish in the Loch the water is clear there are no weeds oxygen level is high everything is green4go I am pretty impressed with the way I’ve been able to do this report
