Week ending 30/oct/06 goldenloch
With the weather nearly perfect this past weekend anglers at the Goldenloch have enjoyed great sport, everyone caught fish and had loads of fish on and or offers, the fish which had been shoaled in the centre of the loch have now well and truly dispersed and the result is bank angling is getting back to normal, surprisingly there have been several bigger fish caught in the 5>6 lbs region lately, these fish must have survived the attack earlier in the season as to date, none have been introduced at that size, as we are waiting for a delivery of large fish which is due to arrive soon, Bob Cox, Dundee had a good day with a bag of 7lbs and several returned as did G Mackie, Lochore who was using daddies, an area of the loch that has been fishing particularly well has been under the trees, on the east side surprisingly for this time of year the leaves are still bright green and the insect life which they are holding is massive, fish can be found under the trees waiting on small insects falling into the water and as they fall a frenzy occurs as the competing fish all try to get the prize, the hard standing neighbouring the trees has never fished as well since it was created three years ago.
