Wild weather, great fishing, boat and bank
Anglers at the Goldenloch were getting great catches on Friday and Saturday using floating lines and sinking tips, buzzers and olive damsels seemed to be the favoured flies but nymphs and Kate McLarens were also working well and this in the middle of March, Mr D Graham, Kelty who had 3 for 8lbs 12oz using a yellow nymph and cant remember how many he put back had his best ever days fishing for a long time, equally pleased was his fishing partner who was just putting every thing back in the water, another angler not wishing to take fish and put all back was Mr S Bremner, Tayport using an orange nymph he caught 9 and returned all, Sunday saw a very different day with a high wind and sleet 4 hardy lads went on and all very quickly started catching fish Mr Jim Horsburgh, Kirkcaldy, had 3 for 6lbs using nymphs and Mr Jim Young, Glenrothes had 6 putting all back using very small buzzers regular angler Mr Steve McCarthy, Lochore using a gold head damsel had 4 which he returned one was a brown trout of approx 3 to 4 lbs with the weather getting worse all 4 came off the loch cold and wet but very happy stating that there is no other sport that a person can enjoy so much, no matter how bad the weather can be.
