June has brought with it some well wanted rain, plus much needed colder weather, a welcomed drop in the water temperature has seen the fish a lot more active, but a huge amount of invertebrate’s generated by the warm sun in the past month, is seeing the fish having a massive buffet, of food to eat, this is causing the fish to be extremely particular about what flies to go for, Rod Thaw with a couple of new puppies at home to look after, manged a quick couple of hours on Saturday morning, getting 15 not having any problems finding the right fly there, water boatman and water spiders are very prevalent this year plus a massive amount of stonefly nymphs, there are the usual amount of damselfly and dragonfly nymphs around the margins, alderfly and caddis fly larvae are at the far end, so plenty happening this year, last night was very windy and wet however huff and puff ventured out into the evening with rain in sight, seeing huff catching 9, practising for going out onto the Lake, I’ve got a bit muddled with photos and photographers lately, it’s an age thing plus I am not using my old trusted computer, however the photos today are from various people but all good pictures.
