The first week of June has been ace, superb fishing in the mornings till about 10am and then again when the sun drops which is about 7.30pm however the bit in the middle is pure dry fly stuff and without the right colour or pattern forget it, a couple of lads this past week have done poorly but the majority have had a ball, its good to see so many young lads coming at night and fishing in the evenings, with one or two doing really well, its also a massive pleasure to see the dry fly brigade having such a good time, there is the odd angler complaining about weeds however it\u2019s the guys fishing really deep that are catching weed but its is the time of year again to pull some weeds out and hopefully this week should see the first pulls, the last couple of years have seen the grass carp keep the weeds down but alas I think they must have all expired as none have been caught for ages, Rab Grierson, Methil, fishing with his buddy John Henan, also Methil, had a good day yesterday, albeit a tad hot, Rab was the first to start catching and had for his first 3, a Brown, a Blue and a Rainbow all good fighting fish was his comments they then went on to catch quite a few more, Its that time of year when cans of juice and other drinks are taken onto the water, Please remember DO NOT throw empty tins or bottles in the water, we don\u2019t mind emptying the boats, but its really poor manners to chuck stuff overboard, in this period of extremely hot weather, we understand that there is a need to have some forms of refreshments while you are sitting in the boats, but please be aware we operate a zero tolerance to alcohol, this is with no exception, anyone on a boat with alcohol will be expelled, this is because people drinking run the risk of injuring themselves or others, if a person wishes to drink and fish then stay on the bank, otherwise don\u2019t do it, not only is it inconsiderate, it is positively not allowed. <\/p>\n
