Good sport weekend and a great week, spoiled yesterday mid day by a few hours of a cold breeze, however most if not everyone enjoyed there peaceful fishing break, with the water crystal clear and weed free, anglers have not got much to complain about, (although one did say that my fishing was so expensive, this as he left here after 8 hours in a boat {single} with 3 fish, total weight 11.5 lbs, all for \u00a320, [value of fish approx \u00a321}) especially if they have caught a few fish, we have had in the past week several fish caught in the 4 \u2013 5 lb weight range, and also one angler saying he returned a fish around the 9lb mark, which to me seems a bit big as we have never stocked anything like that, early morning lads are saying that the rise starts around 5.30 am and is full on till about 7.00 when it just stops as the sun comes over the hill, in the evening if its not cold or windy the rise seems to be about 9.30pm and goes on till goodness only knows the fish are in one anglers words \u201cEverywhere all over the loch and feeding madly\u201d however trying to find what they are feeding on is not so easy, but fish are being caught regularly all day in all areas whether its boat or bank, Statistics is one of the things that the world lives on, just lately we have had our 2 millionth page view on our web site, this website was launched in 2002 and on to it I have posted my weekly blog about what\u2019s happening here at the Goldenloch, I enjoy the responses and its good place to have somewhere to have a rant about, the visits to this site have steadily increased over the years and often I get emails with suggestions about how I should improve it, we used to have a picture gallery which unfortunately got hacked into, and a forum site which became hard to administer, but the rest works just fine, I was never very good at schoolwork and always wanted to be at home helping my dad, I never read books only magazines and newspapers, but for some strange reason I enjoy writing this weekly blog, weird or what.<\/p>\n
