With this weeks, may 26th recent hot weather we have had a worsening of the algae, the water has become very cloudy and murky green in colour, what we have is the perfect media for the algae to multiply in the high organic nature of the water, the hot weather in march that started the growth, and all the heavy rain in april that flushed all the nutrients\u2019 nitrogen and phosphate from the fields into the loch, now with the hot sun and warming of the water which is making or cooking this soup into a horrible mess, we have been working without breaks to remove it from the loch and although we have removed all the large lumpy stuff what we are left with is badly coloured water, people are catching fish but nothing like the numbers that should be getting caught, we can only wait and see what happens next. john<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
