{"id":2323,"date":"2023-07-03T07:43:09","date_gmt":"2023-07-03T07:43:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/goldenloch.co.uk\/?p=2323"},"modified":"2023-07-03T07:43:09","modified_gmt":"2023-07-03T07:43:09","slug":"02-07-2023-sunday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/goldenloch.co.uk\/index.php\/2023\/07\/03\/02-07-2023-sunday\/","title":{"rendered":"02\/07\/2023 Sunday"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\u201cGoldenloch Fishery\u201d Report \/ Blog 2023<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contact Details: john@john-nicol.co.uk 01337840355 \/ 07968006367<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Loch Conditions: Secchi Disk Clarity is poor, Temperature: at 3ft is still 18.00 degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outside Air: is 16.2 Degrees, Wind is a Breeze, North North East<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>02\/07\/2023 Sunday<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Took a bit longer to get this engine fitted to my weed puller, as the Mountings were slightly different but the actual attaching &nbsp;to the machine is perfect, had it up and running by 2 pm today and I am so pleased with the result, in that I probably have removed 10 ton of weed in two pulls, the second one was me being over adventurous and the pile of weed was enormous, the insect life in the weed is just phenomenal, like I have never seen before, Ralph Henderson, from Somerset, who come to Scotland every year, they rent a lodge locally 5 mins away, he comes here when he is not fishing elsewhere, he was watching me and asked why I didn\u2019t use the Dye, as that\u2019s what they do down south, I explained that the weed here is a very important part of our ecosystem and provides bucketloads of o2, in the past we had major problems and fish losses because we removed to much weed, so far since Wednesday, when he arrived in Scotland, he has fished the Tay and caught two, both returned about 6 Lbs and 8 Lbs, Loch Leven, 2 brown Trout, about 1 \u00bd and 2 Lbs, today he fished here and I was very apologetic about the weed and the algae, he told me where he lives the fisheries have been struck with the same problems, however starting at 11 fishing till 4, he had 17, 2 tigers, 8 rainbows, 1 Brown and 6 Perch, every fish he said fought like demons especially the Rainbows which he reckoned that all were about 3 to 4 lbs, his comments were that he hasn\u2019t caught so many fish in such a long time, last night a couple of lads not been here for years I said for them to go on if they had a good night just to leave the money in the box, they must have enjoyed themselves as they both paid. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201cGoldenloch Fishery\u201d offers Boat or Bank fishing, or both, superb location in Northeast Fife, Quiet, Relaxing, no background noise, beginners welcome, abundant wildlife.
