January is a real boring time of the year, although the mornings are starting to get brighter, It’s still really cold going down to the boats first thing, even although the forecasters say it is a mild spell, also going out sitting in the car on cormorant patrol, there’s no wildlife to see, no chirping birds, nothing,  except for the ducks and Swans fighting, it’s constant the fighting, it never stops, I see so many jobs that are in need of my attention, I can’t believe that weeds are now problem in certain parts of the loch,  it must be that I am getting older that I am not rushing to get stuck in, or perhaps its because the ground is still waterlogged and I don\u2019t want to make a mess, the fishing this week has improved immensely, with the average catch yesterday Saturday, 8 anglers average was 6 all returned, Friday was 6 anglers 5 average, pretty good for the fourth week in January,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prices for 2022 are for the first time in several years moving up, we now basically have two tickets,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Half day approx 5 > 6 hours, Catch and Release is \u00a320<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Full day approx  8+ hours, Catch and Release is \u00a325<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anglers wishing to kill fish will be charged at \u00a35.00 per fish on top of whichever ticket bought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These prices are for Boat or Bank, you decide or if boats are available, you can mix and match, however taking a boat and tying it up at the bank is not allowed unless you are camping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since our last price increase which was in believe it or not 2010, we have had quite a few price rises from our fish supplier who was then Cloan Hatcheries, so it isn\u2019t surprising that this price rise is a big jump, however if I am honest a lot of anglers just pay \u00a320 anyways.   The \u201cGoldenloch Fishery\u201d offers Boat or Bank fishing or both, superb location in North East Fife, Quiet, Relaxing, no background noise, beginners welcome, abundant wildlife.
